Somerset Treatment Services is a treatment and counseling center offering affordable outpatient services for substance abuse and HIV-rclated illnesses. Established in 1970 by Somerset County's Board of Chosen Freeholders and the Medical Society of Somerset Medical Center to address drug problems in the county, the agency has evolved into a multi-program clinic that delivers comprehensive substance abuse treatment services, as well as community education and HIV services. The Somerset Treatment Services Philosophy Physicians and counselors at Somerset Treatment Services provide holistic care, addressing the multiplicity of problems that may confront clients and their families. Treatment is based on the principles of client-centered care, respect for each client's individual needs, and cooperation with other agencies. The staff works to empower clients 'through creative solution-finding.
